Big Brother will crack down on any budding couples this summer in an effort to stop fake relationships from forming.
If two housemates decide grow close in the house this year, their peers will be forced to determine that any potential romance is real and that they’re not just playing up to the cameras.
Punishments will be dealt to any pair deemed to be faking it.
Big Brother 10’s executive producer Sharon Powers said: “We’ve got a new rule this year - Big Brother is not putting up with any false romances.
“We will test whether any romance is real. If it’s fake, we will punish the housemates.
“We just won’t accept phoney relationships this year.”
Meanwhile, tokens will return this year, meaning housemates will continue to pay for luxuries such as hot water and access to hairdryers and hair straighteners.
The show begins at 9.00pm tonight.
