Channel 4 have today released the eye logo for this year’s tenth series of Big Brother, which features a fingerprint style design.
The iconic logo, now in its ninth incarnation, is coloured in black, blue, purple and pink and draws similarities to the ‘twisted’ black and yellow spiralling design of the BB7 eye motif.
It was released with a quote from Big Brother - “It’s not what you expect it to be” - but it is not clear what this slogan means or refers to.

According to the Daily Star, designer Daniel Eatock said: “It is based on a thumbprint, but is it Big Brother’s thumbprint? Or a housemate’s thumbprint?”
As usual already there are the conspiracy theories about what it all means, with some suggesting the fingerprint design may suggest some sort of family based link.
The logo has been used as the identity of Big Brother in the UK since the second series in 2001, with a new variation each year forming the basis of the shows promotional material and on screen graphics.
It has become so iconic that in recent years, it has appeared without accompanying text in the show’s opening titles.
