Channel 4 has confirmed that Big Brother will be celebrating it’s tenth ninth birthday in a couple of weeks time, with “surprises aplenty” planned for the occasion.
Although no extra shows are scheduled, from Monday 13th July the nightly highlights are billed as birthday specials, culminating in a night of “extravagant surprises” on eviction night, Friday 17th July.
The weeknight highlight shows are billed as follows:
Catch up on all the latest goings-on in the house. In the week of Big Brother’s tenth birthday, there’ll be surprises aplenty to celebrate a decade of the most talked-about TV programme of the noughties.
The live shows on Friday night then see Davina celebrating the occasion, with the first show featuring the latest eviction, before Big Brother celebrates in style in the second.
9.00pm Big Brother
It’s the eviction night of Big Brother 10. Join Davina McCall as she announces the results LIVE and direct into the house. And in the week of its tenth anniversary, you can be sure that Big Brother will have a whole host of extravagant surprises in stall for housemates and viewers. Plus highlights from the past 24 hours in the Big Brother house.
10.35pm Big Brother
With an evening of birthday surprises in store, the second part of eviction night will see Big Brother celebrate ten years with some shocking turns and unexpected excitement.
Previous rumours have suggested all nine former winners will return to the house for the occasion, and although unconfirmed, it is widely expected former housemates will feature in some way.
Schedule
Big Brother’s birthday shows air on Monday and Thursday at 10pm and Tuesday and Wednesday at 9pm, with the live Friday night shows in the usual 9pm and 10.35pm slot.
Beforehand Big Brother airs on Saturday 11th July at 9pm, but on Sunday is moved to an earlier slot of 8pm, making way for the documentary Michael Jackson’s Last Days: What Really Happened at 9pm.
