Biscuit dunk-off for final places
Four spaces left for hopefuls
biscuit-dunk-off-for-final-places

The non-housemates will have their final chance to earn their places in the house today - by taking part in a biscuit dunk-off.

One-by-one, Big Brother will call the hopefuls to the Diary Room today, where they will be met with a tray of biscuits — bourbons, custard creams and chocolate digestives — and a mug of tea.

They must choose one of the biscuits and dunk it in halfway in to the tea for as long as they think it can take it.

Big Brother will record the time that they kept the biscuit in the tea for, provided it retains its original shape and structure once removed. They will be allowed three attempts each to record their best time.

The person that has the longest dunking time, provided the biscuit withstands it, will win full housemate status.

There are four housemate places left to fill. Anyone who is not a housemate by Sunday will face eviction during Sunday’s live show.

Rodrigo, Noirin, Lisa, Kris, Charlie, Saffia, Karly, Dogface and Halfwit have already gained housemate status.

I’m beginning to long for the days when the tasks were learning the Boy Scouts code.

THIS WAS MY COMPLAINT TO CHANNEL 4

I would like to say that this years big brother house and logo and titles
are brilliant but there are a number of problems that everyone are
commenting on. The first one is how small the crowd has become during the
launch it was so small and there was a big gap where the cars pulled in and
it just doesnt seem like a launch show or big brother anymore also THERE IS
NO LIVE FEED.C4 NEED TO GET THERE ACT TOGETHER. We are the only country in
the world not to show BB 24/7 live feed and even the poorest countries
manage to show it! Also its the 10th seriesBIG DISAPPOINTMENT BIG LET DOWN
ITS BORING NO LIVE STREAM WAT HAS HAPPENED 2 ENGLISH PPL and yh maybe no
live stream because of cost cutting but why show it when there sleeping! its
stupid ! cant believe it the biggest of all reality shows. I hope to hear
from you regarding the above matters

THIS IS THE REPLY I RECEIVED

Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding BIG BROTHER.

The red button 24-hour streaming facility was discontinued prior to the last
series of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER and we have no plans to reintroduce this
service for the current edition of BIG BROTHER.

The main reason behind this decision is that we?ve found the number of
viewers choosing to use the red button facility has dropped significantly
and more and more viewers chose to watch the clips provided on the official
Big Brother and other websites. So we have shifted our resources to cover
these areas and have new fanzones, on Twitter and Facebook as well as our
own site, and we?ll also be working extensively with partners such as bebo,
youtube and MSN to deliver footage to Big Brother fans to keep them fully up
to date with what?s happening in the house.

However, live streaming will be available on both E4 and Channel 4 late
night/early morning and we will be showing all the other great shows that
make up the BIG BROTHER experience, like BIG BROTHER’S LITTLE BROTHER AND
BIG BROTHER’S BIG MOUTH.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all
feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise.

Regards,

Cassie Singer

Are you serious? Honestly, if this is the best they can come up with, I’d much rather see them recycle tasks from previous years. Honestly, anything is better than this.

I like the silly tasks this year, with absolutely no relevance to anything.
Just a bit of light-hearted entertainment. I agree though, there’s more entertaining things than a tea-soaked bourbon…

“We’re currently preparing to launch our brand new website for Big Brother 10″

I’ve been looking forward to seeing it for a while :p Is it still happening?

this will just be added entertainment for sundays eviction, I am sure they will make up for it on the night.

Brekkie says: June 6, 2009 @ 3:37 pm

Az - Matt ensures me the new site will be up in time for the finale. ;)

“Az - Matt ensures me the new site will be up in time for the finale.”

LOL. I think this task is going to be funny.

Matt says: June 6, 2009 @ 3:48 pm

Yes it is Az - we’re continuing to battle technical difficulties to get it up.

Don’t worry - it’s as annoying for us as it is for you.

Ryan.B says: June 6, 2009 @ 3:51 pm

what are the technical difficulties matt?

hazzajam says: June 6, 2009 @ 3:53 pm

Looking forward to seeing it :)

Tasks are hit and miss. I enjoyed the shaving the eyebrows one, and the glass/motorbike ones (essentially SAS) seem quite good too. So they CAN produce good tasks when they put their heads together … perfectly shown by BB9. But why they’re going back to ridiculous twists I have no idea.

BB are being this show even harder to defend.

What a stupid task!

Matt with the new site can we pllllleaaase have a forum again?
