Big Brother host Davina McCall will present a new dance-based reality show on Sky1 next year, it has been confirmed.
The series, entitled Just Dance, will search for the best dancers of all genres from across the country, airing for eight weeks from January and culminating in a live final.
Her new role is not expected to affect the forthcoming seventh series of Celebrity Big Brother, which is also set to air in January.
Just Dance will be the first series Davina has hosted outside BB since her own chat show back in 2006, although she has made numerous one off appearances, notably hosting Comic Relief and Sport Relief.
During BB’s early years, Davina also fronted a number of Saturday night shows for ITV, including Popstars: The Rivals, The Vault and Love on a Saturday Night. She has previously worked for Sky in the late 1990’s, hosting adult game show Prickly Heat.
This summer, Davina has repeatedly rebuffed rumours that Big Brother would be axed this year, stating that she will be back with BB11 next summer.
