E4 increase live streaming hours
Whilst the housemates are sleeping

Updated listings from C4 today, both on their website and Teletext p449, have revealed that E4 will be offering an extra two hours of live streaming every day following the huge number of complaints about the axing of the live feed.

However, these extra couple of hours will be from 6-8am, replacing early morning reruns of Smallville and One Tree Hill during the week, meaning the housemates will still be asleep.

This minor increase from C4 comes as fans anger at the axing of the live feed increases, especially as updates to the official Big Brother website have been very infrequent over the weekend.    Since 4.30pm yesterday, they went for 24-hours without posting any news at all from the house.

An Endemol insider has claimed that Endemol chiefs will be meeting with bosses at C4 to discuss the situation today, and although an immediate solution isn’t expected, Endemol want the complaints to be addressed.

“It’s important to know, though, that this is not a “crisis meeting” or what have you. We’ve been happy about how the series has gone so far, but it’s important that the complaints are being addressed. It’s been the most complained about topic to Channel 4 over the last three months.

I know a lot of the staff including myself are angry about the negative reaction the show is getting especially by the big fans. Naturally we’re used to negative publicity by the wider public, but not my our own fans to such an extent.”

Davina has also encouraged fans to make their views known via her official Twitter page, saying With all this feeling… Find a petition and sign it.”

And this petition, created only on Friday, has already attracted over 2000 signatures.   C4 have also been inundated with complaints, both on the official site and through their complaints form, which you can fill in here.
