Big Brother’s Little Brother host George Lamb believes that it’s time for Big Brother to ‘move on’, The Sun has suggested.
Lamb is said to think that it is the ‘right time’ for bosses to ‘call it a day’ once Channel 4’s contract with the show’s producers Endemol runs out after the eleventh series ends next year.
He apparently said: “I think they’d knock it on the head after this one, the 10th anniversary, if they could.
“The show has made people a lot of money and it’s entertained viewers at home but now it’s time to move on and find the next Big Brother.”
The BBC 6Music DJ took over from former BBLB presenter Dermot O’Leary last year.
Regarding his takeover of the show, he added: “It’s funny taking over from Dermot who was synonymous with the show but you need time to get comfortable and get you feet under the table before you have free reign.
“I felt in the latter part of the summer that it was mine and it’s my baby. I’ve done 100 shows now so it’s second nature to me.”
Davina McCall, host of BB’s live shows, supposedly made similar comments last week, before bosses were said to be angry that she did so.
Are Big Brother’s hosts turning against it, or is this just more tabloid spin?
