Journalist Grace Dent is to host a pre-BB10 special in which she takes a look back at the impact Big Brother has had on the world.

Entitled Big Brother: A Decade In The Headlines, the documentary charts Big Brother’s history, from being a little-known series to becoming a worldwide brand and one of the the biggest reality television franchises.

It will also take a look at how BB has affected ‘celebrity, diversity and television’.

In addition, the show features interviews with media personalities and journalists including Mark Frith, Paul Flynn, Carole Malone, Oona King, Peter Tatchell, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Ian Hyland.

It airs on E4 on Saturday May 30th at 10.50pm, followed at 11.50pm by a repeat of pre-BB8 special Big Brother: According To Russell Brand.

Channel 4 will repeat it on Sunday May 31st at 10.10pm, and on launch night at 11.40pm.

Meanwhile, a repeat of Big Brother’s Big Quiz will air on C4 at 11.05pm on June 3rd.

Wonder if this documentary will allude to it becoming so big worldwide been helped in a large part by LIVE STREAMING Online and on TV 24/7 that BB UK is now Unique in the World to my knowledge in Not having ?

OMG What is it with people and the live feed. Every site I go on people are complaining about it. Get over it! I know it was a big part of the show but at least we’ve still got the main show on TV.

@David No we wont as you say get over it and if you think its bad now wait till more of the regular viewers start coming back onto sites LOL. Everywhere it will be ‘whats happened to afternoon coverage on E4′ and ‘No red button coverage ?’ etc etc etc.

Another reason every site you go to has people complaining is due to a bunch of obvious CH4 trolls trying to play down the issue and adding insult to injury which the people unhappy over this live feed issue arent going to let them get away with.

Oo my god. Cannot stand this woman.When she was on BBLB last year she came across very arogant and stuck up.Tryed so hard to be funny and choose who she though eveyrone loved and failed at it.Reminds me of somoen i dont like either..SO AS much as i am obsessed with BB i will not watch this due to her hosting it!.. harsh but its healthier for me lol !

Not the obvious choice perhaps, but I think out of the people currently associated with the show she’s probably the best choice. Davina would just be self indulgent, while I don’t think George really has the knowledge.

It’s the only pre-season special I’m really interested in. Can pretty much take or leave the Quiz, while I don’t believe a single second of airtime should be wasted on Jade Goody.
