Who'll face the crowd tonight?
live-angel-vs-halfwit

It’s eviction number four. Is Angel about to be sent packing, or will it be third time unlucky for Halfwit? Here are our live updates for tonight…

You can see tonight’s two live shows at 9.00pm and 10.30pm on Channel 4. We’ll be liveblogging as it happens, so keep refreshing the page for our latest posts, which will appear at the bottom of the list.

As always, you can get involved by leaving your comments below.

  • 8.30pm: Welcome to our live updates for either Angel or Halfwit’s eviction!
  • 8.46pm: “Okay, he hasn’t lost a bout yet, but tonight he takes on the fittest of them all. Will Angel knock out Halfwit?” asks Davina as she plugs the eviction during Channel 4’s Michael Jackson tribute show.
  • 8.51pm: It’s not looking good for Angel at the bookies either - Paddy Power have her down as 1/100 favourite to go, while Freddie is way behind her at 10/1.  Is the writing on the wall for her?
  • 8.58pm: “Eviction veteran Halfwit takes on Angel, the Pride of Moscow. It’s Russian roulette, and you’re calling the shots,” Davina says after the Michael Jackson tribute ends.
  • 9.00pm: “The outsiders have been cornered and it’s your job to chuck one of them out” - Davina opens the show.

  • 9.18pm: Charlie has just drenched Angel’s eviction outfit, which she has spend lots of time making, in water.
  • 9.20pm: Angel takes her outfit inside and puts it on her bed, before heading in to the bedroom toilet. Charlie follows her in, before he leaves at her request. She continues to sob.
  • 9.20pm: Karly informs Charlie that Angel was just sewing his name onto her jacket when he threw the water on it.
  • 9.23pm: Siavash is in the bedroom with Marcus, talking about Lisa. He says that she has a ‘lot of power in this house’, while Marcus suggests that she was ‘telling everyone who to vote for without saying it’.

Another exciting night awaits

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 8:55 pm

Can’t decide if I should follow with the live updates or if I should wait until tonight to watch the show. :P

lanky says: June 26, 2009 @ 8:57 pm

I really don’t want either to go :(

Justin, why not follow the live updates. bbspy have excelled at them this year.

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:03 pm

True that. I can deal. I also don’t want either to go…but since one HAS to go…it’s gotta be Angel.

lanky says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:07 pm

If you can watch the show I’d do that too, the ratings will undoubtedly be down because of the MJ tributes.

Lisa is such a bitch. Her and Noirin need to be voted out.

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:10 pm

If I watched it or not, it wouldn’t matter. I’m in the US so I don’t contribute to the ratings. I have to wait until 9pm my time (3am in the UK) to watch the show anyways.

Also, I agree. I don’t like Noirin anymore after the nominations show.

lanky says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:16 pm

Oh, I didn’t know. :) Nice knowing people from overseas are interested.

I really don’t know who I want to go. Blasted housemates for nominating Angel and Freddie.

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:17 pm

Yeah it’s pretty much a lose-lose situation. I think Angel deserves to go though as she pretty much shot herself in the foot, making those comments towards Noirin and then the conflicts with other HMs.

Andy says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:21 pm

What happened to make Angle upset in the clips shown at 21:19???

Matt says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:25 pm

Nice to have you joining us Justin. :)

Andy, he drenched her eviction jacket in water.

Andy says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:27 pm

Aww. I really feel sorry for her. They are not editing the show in her favour lately.

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:27 pm

Thanks Matt. If only I could watch and comment. :D I’ll just go off of your updates, which are really great so far!

Andy says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:28 pm

Nasty Noreen and Lisa neet to go.

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:29 pm

Siavash easily replaced Cairon has his bath buddy, eh? :P

ryan.b says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:37 pm

lisa and noreen are entertaining and they should not go because we dont want another boring winner!

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:45 pm

I <3 Davina. :)

Justin says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:46 pm

Is the evictee being announced in this show, or in the second show like last week?

Matt says: June 26, 2009 @ 9:59 pm

It’s in the second show again. I prefer it that way, because they only have 30 seconds to say goodbye rather than 30 minutes, but I’d rather it was all in one show.

Stu says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:06 pm

Lisa and Noreen are entertaining, er, don’t think so, rather chew my own chew my own toes off than watch them two till the end. But Freddie is right about the HM’s you the Wolves, Sheep and Shephards, he was spot on with that analysis, and Rodrigo has gone up in my books with his defence of Angel and standing up to Noirin, but I think he’ll get his first nominated by a couple of them next week for that.

Anthony says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:07 pm

But the announcement used to be live at 09.55 pm now its recored 20 mins before at 10.15pm

claiming its live is actually breaking the trade descriptions act

Matt says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:08 pm

To be fair they’ve not claimed the second show is live for quite a while.

Stu says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:10 pm

I think their delaying the announcement because their scared of kick-offs in the half hour they evicted housemate has before they leave, this is a very highly strung set of housemates at the best of times.

Andy says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:34 pm

What?? This show at 22:30 is not live?

Matt says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:36 pm

No. Rules imposed by Hertsmere Council mean that the crowd has to have left Elstree by 11, so they pre-record it.

Andy says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:39 pm

Thats abit lame. Why dont they play ‘eight out of ten cats’ half an hour later and just run Big Brother for 1.5 hours?

Frankie says: June 26, 2009 @ 10:51 pm

Im liking this eviction!

lanky says: June 26, 2009 @ 11:00 pm

What the hell does she look like? :/

Lewis [*-*] says: June 26, 2009 @ 11:03 pm

Andy, probably because its nice to have a half hour break to laugh from big brother..

Andy says: June 26, 2009 @ 11:22 pm

Nice way to loose viwers too.

Ivan says: June 27, 2009 @ 12:31 am

Noirin only nominated Halfwit because he was a threat to her in the house.

She said on the very first night that she had “worked too hard to get here”

At the end of the day, if you had worked really hard against thousands of other people to get in the house, wouldn’t you nominate those who you felt were the biggest threat to you, so you could stay in the house longer?

Fair play to ya Noirin!

Noirin to win!!

:D

Brekkie says: June 27, 2009 @ 11:28 am

Thanks Matt for the updates - now I’m not watching, I appreciate them more as I can quote things like this:

# 10.46pm: Angel’s interview begins. We’ll have highlights up later.
# 10.47pm: Anthea says she’s not happy that Angel was evicted because she was great television.
# 10.49pm: Peter is commenting on a discussion about Angel being an ‘outsider’.
# 10.50pm: Peter is talking about being liked and smiling whilst in the house, using Gordon Brown as an example.

- and point out isn’t the eviction interview supposed to be about the evictee!

The guests are very poor too - and obviously aren’t bringing viewers in. If they want a few guests fine - but use them in the pre-eviction show where Davina getting the opinions of a guest or two and a psych would actually add something to it.

Also worth noting that delaying the announcement to 10.30pm now means Davina has even less to do.
