Marcus and Noirin face eviction tonight and it’s set to be the closest battle yet! Who will go? Time for the return of our live updates…

- 8.20pm: Welcome to our live updates for the eighth eviction of Big Brother 2009!
- 8.30pm: A quick look at our eviction poll now, and over 1,000 people have voted - the most ever! It’s close, but Marcus is in the lead at 56% with Noirin at 44%. Who do you want out? Vote on the right to let us know!
- 8.36pm: However, the betting odds disagree. PaddyPower has Noirin as the 1/20 favourite to go, while Marcus is at 7/1. It’s gonna be close!
- 8.54pm: “It’s the lovesick mug who likes a hug vs. the Irish tease who makes men weak at the knees. Ooh, it’s a biggie tonight! Marcus vs. Noirin in just under seven minutes!” - Davina plugs tonight’s show during an ad break.
- 9.01pm: “It’s beauty and the beast!” exclaims Davina as she opens the show.
- 9.02pm: Davina recaps the week in Big Brother, focusing on Noirin’s relationships, with Tom, Siavash and Marcus, and Isaac’s entrance to the house.
- 9.04pm: Tonight’s first lot of highlights begins. Daddy’s back!
- 9.13pm: To evict Marcus, call 09016 16 16 09, or to evict Noirin call 09016 16 16 10. Calls cost 35p with BT, other networks and mobiles may vary, lines close later in the show!
- 9.15pm: “Bea, you’re so fickle!” says Davina as she rounds off the first part of the show.

- 9.19pm: The second part of tonight’s show begins.
- 9.20pm: Davina reads out the phone numbers again as the crowd chant ‘Get Marcus Out’. However, the stop and boo Noirin when her name is called.
- 9.20pm: Tonight’s second batch of highlights begins.
- 9.27pm: On the highlights, Noirin and Isaac are in the lounge discussing a conversation she just had with Siavash.
- 9.28pm: Charlie is in the Diary Room ordering the shopping for the next week. Isaac, David, Lisa and Noirin are at the Bus Stop discussing the movie Grease.
- 9.31pm: Isaac is in the Diary Room discussing his arrival and the housemates’ reactions, and tonight’s eviction. He says if Noirin goes Big Brother will be a ‘job’ and that he’ll be playing to win the 100,000 ‘dollars’.
- 9.33pm: Davina remarks that Isaac is actually playing for $165,000 as part 2 ends.

- 9.38pm: Davina welcomes us back to the show and recaps the phone numbers.
- 9.38pm: The third lot of highlights begins with Noirin and Isaac in the bedroom.
- 9.39pm: Bea is in the Diary Room revealing her thoughts on Noirin after Isaac’s entrance. She says: “He’s a weirdo, it’s like he’s just stepped out of American Pie”.
- 9.42pm: Some of the housemates are about to go to the Diary Room in towels to plea for Marcus to stay. Others including Charlie and Hira concede that they should leave it to the public to decide.
- 9.49pm: The final slice of tonight’s house action is coming up after the break.

- 9.53pm: Back to the show, with Davina repeating the numbers for the final time.
- 9.54pm: Tonight’s final batch of highlights begin. Noirin and Isaac are lying on the pebbles in the garden.
- 9.56pm: Bea and Marcus are taking a bath together using some pampering products Big Brother provided in exchange for a token.
- 9.58pm: The lines are now closed. Do not call, as your votes won’t count and they may still be charged!
- 9.59pm: Live feed airs as the first show comes to a close. Tonight’s interview guests are psychologist Judi James and DJ Jo Whiley.

- 10.19pm: Davina during a break in The Kevin Bishop Show: “Will Noirin be torn apart from her boyfriend Isaac, or will Marcus be torn apart from his beloved duvet? It’s the eighth eviction of Big Brother in nineteen minutes!”
- 10.37pm: “She’s driven him wild and he’s driven her nuts, and now we’re going to drive one of them out!” says Davina as she introduces the second show.
- 10.38pm: Davina is now talking to the house.
- 10.38pm: The eighth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house is Noirin.
- 10.39pm: Noirin is saying her goodbyes to the other housemates.
- 10.39pm: Noirin leaves the lounge and heads to the front of the house.
- 10.39pm: Noirin leaves the house to a booing crowd.
- 10.40pm: Davina meets Noirin and leads her along the catwalk as the press take pictures of her.
- 10.41pm: “Lock up your sons!” says Davina as she closes part one. She will talk to Noirin after the break.

- 10.45pm: Davina welcomes us back to the show and introduces Noirin and guests Jo Whiley and Judi James.
- 10.46pm: The interview gets underway. We’ll have highlights up later.
- 10.47pm: Noirin says that Isaac will walk now that she has left the house. We’ll have developments on that as we get them.
- 10.47pm: Jo says she liked Noirin up until this week.
- 10.50pm: A VT is being shown about the attention Noirin attracted while in the house.
- 10.55pm: Judi is explaining why she thinks Noirin was attractive to many of the male housemates.
- 10.58pm: Noirin acknowledges that she sent mixed messages to Siavash.
- 10.58pm: Davina shows Noirin her best bits.
- 11.02pm: Davina thanks Noirin and the guests before we cut to live feed.
- 11.02pm: The credits roll and the show ends.
