Live Feed: The Details
Seven hours of late-night streaming
live-feed-the-details

With the schedules now confirmed for the first couple of days of  Big Brother 10, these are the facts about the live feed coverage on offer.

As we’ve posted previously, not only has the red button 24/7 feed has been axed, but the daytime streaming on E4 has been scrapped too.   The online streaming was discontinued last year.

  • On launch night live streaming on E4 begins at 11.35pm, after an hour-long edition of Big Mouth, continuing through to 6.20am.
  • On Friday there is no further streaming until 11.05pm on E4, running overnight once again.
  • C4 will also be offering 90-minutes of live streaming on both nights, from 2.30am.

And that is it.

In its place, along with daytime regulars Smallville, One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls, are reruns of Desperate Housewives, the first series of The Hills - and a rare chance to see classic episodes of Friends. E4 Music has been dropped.

Big Brother isn’t completely absent from the schedules though, the main editions will be repeated at 1pm on E4, while Big Brother’s Little Brother remains in the 6pm slot.

It has been said that the live feed can be boring, however I would much prefer to what that than the Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill and The Hills - Infact I would rather poke my eyes out than watch that day-time treat of rubbish.

I mean friends is good. I can watch friends, but how many times do you want to see a bunch of 30 year olds as teens? Seriously.
Damn, you have now opened a door for me. Give me something else to rant about !!

You will see nowt on over night ‘Sleep and Fart’ feed. If anyone stays up or interesting incident happens any bets it stops on shots of people sleeping. Has got steadily worse over years.

Just how CH4 wants it total control over public perception of HMs so they get the winner the likes of Heat Magazine and the agents want. The REAL Reason for the removal of the Red Button facility NOT the reasons claimed :-))))

BB10 RIP love the conspiracy theory… yes, live feed will be highly edited methinks! but it’s the facade of live feed that counts! haha!

Great, I love watching the housemates sleeping

@New Identity . Just my opinion based on what is known generally not a conspiracy theory.

I wanted to stick to the facts in the article as you’ve heard it all before - but here is another fact for you.

BB Live consistently got 100-150,000 viewers in the afternoon slot last year.

Gilmore Girls got around 60,000.

Any excuse it’s down to ratings just doesn’t wash at all. Even if the live feed costs more, BB Live gets twice the number of viewers so surely the extra ad revenue would cover it.

come on e4, give us our red button back, the normal programs can stay on through the day, but for us live feed fanatics, the red button is what big brother is all about, 24/7 coverage. please. I prob wont watch, like i didn’t with cbb, as couldnt get to know the characters.
