Live nominations on Wednesday?
Producers hope to 'boost ratings'
live-nominations-on-wednesday

This week’s nominations will take place live during Wednesday’s special shows, according to The Sun.

The paper has claimed that the surprise will be sprung on housemates in a bid to boost ratings, and that they may have to do it face-to-face in a further bid to ‘pile on the drama’.

However, Channel 4 is yet to confirm the news.

Two live episodes will air on Wednesday - a one-hour show from 9.00pm, followed by another 30-minute show from 11.00pm. They will be seperated by the debut outing of the new series of Ugly Betty.

Audience tickets are available from Big Brother ticket vendor ApplauseStore.

YAWN YAWN!!!!!!!!!!

Oh not this rubbish again we`ve seen this twice so far and it was a BIG flop

Does anyone seriously think that channel 4 are making this years BB boring on spite and just keeping it going just to make profits?

It seems like it to me

This year has to be the least watched ever and the worst BBUK ever

This years is making Big bore 4 look entertaining

Worst housemates ever
no live feed during the day
No live launch night
recorded evictions
No replacment housemates
boring and stupid tasks

Its rubbish full stop

@Anthony

There is also the following to add to list.

Canned audience noise in eviction interview studio as witnessed on the second show friday when Davina comes on talking but no sound from her yet you hear the audience clapping. How much more false can you get IMHO ?

The ploy they did of moving announcing the eviction result till second show. Very cynical attempt to get ratings up IMHO

this wont boost ratings at all…especially as there hasnt been any heavy promotion promoting the night so how are people gonna know to tune in then…

a late night twist was done for CBB6 and it rated horribly in ratings especially airing so late, y not do it during the 9pm show then

James Dean says: June 22, 2009 @ 6:58 am

well tbh everyone, stop moaning atleast were having a 10th and 11th series unlike our friends in australia, and it could be worse, we could be watching the boring american version.

James Dean says: June 22, 2009 @ 7:00 am

AND they are selling tickets for this events to be in the crowd…why would they do this for just nominations aye?

I think it will be great to see them squirm in front of eachother, given the tensions between some of them.

Most people on here are already dissmissing this as a flop idea, it could turn out after they’ve nominated the person immediately leaves and in the second show a new housemate or two.

Ben says: June 22, 2009 @ 10:59 am

Yes be funny to see sree and noirins nominations face to face :p but come on BB the best you can do is that !! lets just wait n see cos now i dont think they would sell tickets just to watch people nominate each other ? perhaps the person gets evicted there and then !!

Brekkie says: June 22, 2009 @ 11:54 am

James - Australia are lucky they got out before it got really bad, and at least they tried something in the final year to save the show.

Didn’t work, but better to be axed having tried everything, rather than trying nothing - and Aussie’s can now look back on their BB rather fondly.

Us Brits - well, the most loyal of fans hate it at the moment.

@James: “AND they are selling tickets for this events to be in the crowd…why would they do this for just nominations aye?”

Why did they give out tickets for Beinazir’s eviction only to interview her in a bus? :P

Ivan says: June 22, 2009 @ 2:08 pm

Why do they need an audience if its just nominations?

Chris says: June 22, 2009 @ 8:53 pm

:( I thought it was some new housemates - just live nominations? Thats pretty broing, and all the drama is so concentrated in these three weeks theres going to be none left in the summer! It should be a fake eviction or a few new housemates (the house is really empty)

James Dean says: June 23, 2009 @ 6:57 am

@ Matt, they didn’t sell tickets for her eviction, because i checked. AND also when she was evicted there was no croud so er your wrong.

Stu says: June 23, 2009 @ 12:15 pm

According to The Sun, Charlie has been stripped of his right to nominate this week by Siavash.

Matt says: June 23, 2009 @ 3:05 pm

@JamesDean, there was no crowd but there was an audience in the studio, as is the case in most live specials.

Krystal says: June 23, 2009 @ 7:22 pm

why is it that it is always the sun that announces these like those who are up for nominations and these live events like wednesday why cant flipping channel 4 tell us this instead off a bloody newspaper.

Ivan says: June 23, 2009 @ 8:26 pm

Because of no Live Feed. Oops did I say that out loud? HAHAHAHAHAHA…:L
