Carpenter and glazier Marcus has become the twelfth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house, with 64% of the vote.
The self-styled ‘irrepressible dark horse’, who lost to Siavash, left to a largely positive reception from the crowd. He smiled and thanked them for coming as he grabbed fans’ hands from the stage.
He even stopped to take a picture of a crowd member with a camera that they had handed him.
In his eviction interview with Davina and guests Grace Dent and Andi Peters, he joked: “I’ve never been defeated! I wanted to go three weeks ago, but people kept me in to torture me.”
Discussing his behaviour and attitude towards Big Brother, he said: “You’ve got to give [Big Brother] a little bit of stick. You can’t just sit around and accept everything they tell you all the time.
“There is nothing I did in the house that was serious. Not a single thing.”
Asked about his relationship with Noirin, he replied: “It was just little things that happened under the duvets and stuff like that. I knew 99.99% that nothing would happen but I was bored so I took a chance on the 0.01%.”
He talked about his ‘graveyard shifts’ and other habits, saying: “I had the lowest tally - seven, seven and a bit. Rodrigo was on double figures next to somebody else in bed.
“Like none of you lot do that stuff! At least I admit it - what you see is what you get.”
He added that he didn’t have a gameplan, and agreed when told he was a good housemate.
The last eviction will take place on Tuesday.
