More cutbacks means more Friends
BBLB back to 25 minutes every weeknight
more-cutbacks-means-more-friends

Extended editions of Big Brother’s Little Brother on Tuesdays and Fridays will be dropped from later this month, with all weeknight editions cut back to 25-minutes

BBLB, fronted by George Lamb, currently airs for an hour on Sundays during T4 and each weeknight at 6pm on E4, with hour-long editions on Tuesday and Friday, and 30-minute editions for the rest of the week.

As well as featuring the nomination results on Tuesday and the eviction build up on Fridays, the hour-long editions have also featured George Lamb’s Diary Room Challenge in the run up to the shows birthday celebrations, a feature which comes to it’s conclusion this week.

From the 28th July the Tuesday and Friday editions will be cut back to 25-minutes - and you’ve guessed it, an extra episode of Friends will take the 6.25pm slot on E4.

Ratings for BBLB have fallen since Dermot left and the show was moved from 7.30pm to 6pm, and have not been helped by the collapse in viewer numbers for the main shows on C4.

Oh my…as much as I love Friends, does it have to be on again and again and again and again? Its getting a bit boring, seeing as the show actually ended over 5 years ago - and these repeats are silly, I’m sure everyone has them on DVD anyway. Maybe if BBLB was extended and it was more interesting now and again, instead of the ’same old, same old’ all the freakin time (the z-list celebrities, lame games and dull camera run behind-the-scenes), the ratings would increase and more people would be encouraged to watch the main show…jeesh.
