Producers have announced a shake-up of the eviction interview format today as the first boot-out of the series looms.

Once the evictee has left the Big Brother house, they will be led into the studio as usual for their interview with host Davina McCall. However, for the first time ever, two special guests will be on hand to join her.

The first will be a celebrity, ex-housemate, journalist or ‘devoted fan’ who will interrogate them with the ‘curiosity’, ‘passion’ and ‘perspective’ of the viewer.

The second will be an ‘expert’ who has knowledge of the Big Brother format and experience, will share their thoughts and insights regarding how they thought the evictee did in the house.

The guests will change on a weekly basis.

Halfwit (Freddie) and Sophia face the first eviction tonight. Whoever is sent packing will face their interrogation in the 10.30pm show.

I was, and still am, hoping the additional stuff is just on Big Mouth.

I know she’s always got flack for them, but I always think she’s been fair and treated HMs with some sort of respect. After all, their worst crimes are never more than a bit of bitching - they’re not serial killers!

There are many problems with the eviction show, but the interview wasn’t even on my radar - my only issue is in the early weeks they don’t need to be so long.

I agree with Brekkie, Davina’s had a load of flack over her eviction interviews. It’s really unfair when she actually does a really good job of most of them and she truly loves the show.

Don’t like the sound of this, just don’t think they’ve got enough time to pack in the eviction, three interviewers and the best bits in half an hour, not long enough for all that.

From what was said on BBLB they’re making it like You’re Fired, with them all round a table. Dom Joly and Judi James are the guests tonight.

I’ll be really pissed off if they’ve done this but not tackled the real problems which are in the first show. It would be criminal to have Judi there and for Davina not to spend a couple of minutes talking body language with her.

Thought it was a great change, really refreshing and much more interesting than usual!
