Rodrigo and Noirin have become the first two people to earn housemate status after they completed a task during the launch show.
Earlier, Rodrigo responded to Big Brother’s call for one housemate to go to the Diary Room, where has found a pair of clippers, a permanent marker and a picture of a cartoon face on an easel.
Big Brother informed him that the sixteen people who entered the house during tonight’s launch show were in fact non-housemates, and that to stay in the Big Brother house they had to earn housemate status by completing challenges.
Rodrigo was immediately set his task, for which he had to find a volunteer, shave off their eyebrows using the clippers and draw a comedy moustache and glasses on their face with the permanent markers.
Noirin rose to the challenge, and Rodrigo successfully completed his task, earning him and Noirin housemate status.
They are currently the only two official housemates, and therefore are the only people who have full access to the house.
On Sunday, anybody in the house who is still a non-housemate will face a public vote, with viewers getting to decide which of them get to stay in the house.
