Another £10,000 was added to the prize fund yesterday after housemates completed their latest task - leaving a room.
Yesterday, the group went in to the task room to find a number of props and puzzles, including a padlock with 200 keys, milk bottles filled with water, a large knotted rope, a haystack, and a pile of socks.
They had not been told what the task was or what to do, but they were informed that they would win the money if the ‘pass or fail’ meter in the room reached the pass mark.
What they didn’t know was that all they had to do to pass was leave the room. Each time someone left, the meter moved a step closer to the pass mark. They had four hours in which to do the task.
They soon got to work doing what they could with the objects.
Sophie attempted to get gum out a wig, Siavash sliced onions and Rodrigo cracked eggs.
David fished through the keys to find the right one to find the padlock.
“I’ve done it, I’ve done it!” he screeched, before realising the meter hadn’t moved. Undeterred, he started fishing through the haystack for a needle.
Lisa tried several tasks before donning a pair of boxing gloves to seperate a box full of mints and liquorice.
“This IS hard! I’m gonna do this Rodrigo. Every one of them, you watch,” she gasped.
“I think if we do ten challenges, we pass,” Siavash guessed.
Later, Lisa and David left the room for a while, unwittingly completing a third of the task.
“It’s confusing Lisa! It’s impossible! We might as well just go in and make scrambled eggs with the eggs,” David moaned.
However, they eventually realised that leaving the room would win them a task, and broke into cheers when they peered through the door and saw the meter at ‘pass’.
“This is Big Brother. As housemates all successfully left the task room, they have passed,” Big Brother confirmed.
The group also won five tokens. They exchanged one for a Chinese takeaway and alcohol last night.
