Zeus, a.k.a. Halfwit, has been told that this week’s shopping task is a phoney, and that this week’s actual task is in his hands.
Yesterday, housemates began the Greek shopping task, believing that they had to successfully complete a number of sub-challenges - including running a kebab van and learning a Stavros Flatley dance - to pass.
However, in the Diary Room today, Big Brother told Halfwit that it is up to him to earn the group a luxury shopping budget this week.
He had to choose three housemates who he believed could beat each of the three other gods in their respective challenges.
Tom was chosen to take on Kratos, the God of Strength (Marcus) in an arm wrestling match, while Marcus must compete against Atlas, God of Weightlifting and Heavy Burdens (Tom) in a weightlifting challenge.
Halfwit also chose Siavash to face Hades, the God of Wealth (Kenneth) at the wealth challenge, for which they will assess the value of a series of items.
If two of Halfwit’s chosen opponents win their allotted challenges, he will pass and earn a budget of £5 per head per day for the group next week. If two or more lose, or if Halfwit reveals any details of the secret task to the others, he will fail.
