Big Brother presenter Davina McCall entered the house for the first time ever mid-series earlier tonight as a guest.
Moments after Nicola was secretly evicted, Davina went in wearing the chicken costume she donned for the farmyard task, as the other housemates remained unaware that Nicola had been voted out.
“Honest to god, this is the best, thank you so much,” said Davina.
“Hello Davina. Are you ready to join the Big Brother house?” asked BB.
“I’m ready. I’m very very nervous, I’m shaking,” she replied.
“From now on, you must answer to the name of Nicola,” Big Brother explained. “You must not speak or do anything that would draw attention to your true identity.
Davina removed her earpiece, before asking if she could come to the Diary Room if she needed to.
“Big Brother is always here for you Davina,” came the reply.
“I’ve always wanted you to say that to me!” Davina said excitedly.
After putting on the head of the costume, she proceeded to enter the lounge. The other housemates breathed a sigh of relief, thinking Nicola had returned.
However, Davina’s failure to answer the others’ questions soon aroused their suspicions.
“That’s not Nic,” said Vinnie.
“That might be Ivana,” Alex said.
“Nicola don’t even walk like that,” Vinnie continued.
The stunt was pulled to mark the end of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 4, who axed the entire Big Brother franchise last August.
